It's a pretty simple song to learn, it only uses four chords.
I IV V during the verses and chorusy parts (In the key of D being D G and A major)
And during the pre-chorus it uses the vi chord (Bm in the key of D)
Your left hand should be descending in diatonic seconds down the scale during most of the song.
