0 [Band-in-a-Box] Re: How can I get BIAB to put in a rest.

 

Notice on the Tool Bar above the Editable Notation Window there are two boxes: Note (which is checked by default) and Rest. To insert a rest simply check the box.
Tedious compared to what? Simply click to add a note, click again to add another note and the duration of the first note is automatically adjusted. What could be simpler?
(My observations are based on the 2010.5 version but I don't recall any stunning changes regarding note/rest entry.)
