I wanted to thank the sister that posted the idea about putting the words on the board, and having the kids erase the words that did not belong to the song. I did this with our Sr. Primary today, and I thought they would get bored with it, but they didn’t. They sang the song better than any they have so far this year!
For the Jr. Primary, we did a fun activity. Stick pulling! I had 2 kids sit on the floor, and try to do it. It was actually quite entertaining. I think I need to try this with the Sr. Primary. So we sang the song as the kids tried to pull each other up. If one was pulled up, we sang louder, if the other was pulled up, we sang quieter. I don’t know how well they sang, but I do know they wont forget the song now! I am sure next week they will sing it better than ever! It was a fun activity. I even had one of our men come up, and try to do it with one of the older boys in Jr. Primary. It was actually quite funny! They both had a blast.
