Thanks for all the amazing ideas to make this hymn fun to teach/sing!
I observed something in this hymn that might help teaching the third verse as well & can tie in to whatever you are already planning.
There are 4 phrases in each verse. It can be tricky to remember which phrase is coming next. I noticed that the last word of a phrase has a connection in the meaning to the first word of the following verse.
For example, Verse 3, 1st phrase: "....priesthood. Ever & Ever...". God's Priesthood will never be taken from the earth again. We can remember to sing the words "Ever and ever" after we finish the phrase with "priesthood".
2nd phrase:"...hold. Faithful..." We can remember to sing "Faithful" after "hold" because we show our faith by HOLDing onto the gospel always!
3rd phrase: "...kingdom, Crowned..." self-explanatory ;)
Anyway, it will help ME remember which phrase is next!
