0 [primusic] Watermelon

 

Today we did a review of the program songs. The spirit felt so strong, I thought I'd share. We used cutouts of watermelon slices (red paper cut into the half and quarter shapes, with black seeds drawn in) with song titles (and page number) on the back. Since summer has officially begun, I told the children that instead of spitting seeds from the watermelons (that's just gross LOL) that the songs could be sung with enthusiasm. The song should be sung with great care to get the words to go where you want them to go, just like spitting out seeds in a specific direction. I love our primary children. They forgive my shortcomings (and sometimes my forgetting the words) and they also really love singing. Warms the soul:-)
