I opened up Sherry Mayrent's Klezmorim in a Kestl styles in PG Music's StyleMaker program, and found the bass lines exactly in the octave that PG Music recommends (which are one octave higher than they are supposed to sound). This was done so someone could enter the bass lines using a 5 octave synth keyboard.
I've done some experimentation with the bass in the StyleMaker, and if the bass lines are entered where they should sound (instead of an octave higher), they do some pretty weird things.
This is an unfortunate quirk of the BiaB program. BiaB is a great program, it does what it does well, but it does have it's limitations and challenges.
So my suggestions are:
1) If this can be done easily, transpose the bass on your hardware/software sequencer -12 semitones
2) Export to a MIDI file, transpose the bass and play in a MIDI sequencer.
