What you want to do is actually quite easy.

Go to the notation screen of the melody track. There are several ways to do this but the shortcut key is control W
On that screen you will see the options button.
Press it and on the screen that comes up in about the middle of the second column of options is the transpose options.
Make your changes there and you will be able to read along with the music as it plays.
