I feel the poppers are fine to use. I make sure the room is left better than I found it. Which is easy as the poppers I use don't have any smoke, and don't make a very big pile of confetti streamers. Easy to pick up and the child who gets picked to pop it LOVES to pick each and every bit of it up. As long as we pray about what we're doing in our calling, I say, let the Lord decide. IF you don't feel it's right for your Primary, don't do it. I was just giving some fun ideas I've used in the past. Thanks for all your comments, I appreciate each of your points of view. That's what this list is all about. And it's a buffet of ideas. We can pick and choose as we like. Thanks again for all your comments.

I don't think the point was about whether the custodians were paid or not. I think Cindy's point was just that we need to be cautious about some of the things we do for singing time. That this particular 'activity may need to be looked at a little closer because it does create a mess for someone to clean up and also that if smoke is involved there may be an issue with the fire code as we can't have candles etc. Just my take on her comment. I think most church buildings now are cleaned by the people in the wards but I don't think that had anything to do with what she was meaning...... correct me if I am wrong Cindy. :-)j

well hmmm......our ward doesn't have a paid custodian. We as the ward members have to sign up to clean our own building. I thought this policy was church wide.....guess it's not.----- Original Message -----From: CINDY BLEVINSSent: Wednesday, July 06, 2011 10:16 AMSubject: Re: [primusic] Re: Poppers
Just some thoughts about the poppers. I'm glad they were a success for you,
but I wonder what the church custodian thinks about the poppers and
glitter/papers? Also, the ones that smoke are probably not approved for use
inside the church since they could be a fire danger. Might be better to use it
outside the church.
