I've just posted my first serious BIAB rendition of a favorite/request that we get when singing in small/medium sized churches and senior centers here in South Texas.
Personally, I would like to learn how to make the melody SMOOTHER....but I cannot tolerate the standard changes that "embellisher" makes and somehow I have slurs that don't slur!
I created a separate folder (Gospel....) in the files section and invite comments.

Dave, you certainly have some fine songs going. I am not sure BIAB is the best program for expressing the subtleties of a melody. It is good for straight ahead printing on easily quantized material, but not so good creating nuanced writing. The melodies looked fine to me for what they are, and it is debatable whether more precise elaborations would get a better performance from a church choir or senior center. One question is, are you going to play the BIAB backing track for the choir?
Another is, from where do your chord symbols come? I hear some changes that do not correspond to common practice. For example, your version of Just a Closer Walk is basically correct, but would be somewhat stilted to present to a band for interpretation. That D to Gm early on is not played that much. Maybe it works, but it is cumbersome. This is a fascinating subject: how one chooses chord voicings in BIAB, and how one notates them. I appreciate how you are getting the bass notes to flow, but again I feel you are trying to make something happen that is not really there. Maybe i am way wrong. What do you say,
Dave?
