Last year I used the snowball idea. I had half sheets of paper and pencils under the children’s chairs. The wrote their favorite songs and then class by class I let them throw their “snowballs” into a basket- of course we had to pick up quite a few. It helps to have extra people help the little ones write. Anyway, I picked snowballs out of the basket and we sang those songs. I also took them home and made lists of their favorite songs and brought them back the next week so the children could see which songs were the most popular. It helped in senior primary to have some primary song books available for children to look up titles if they needed to.
