Hello everyone!

Firstly, this group is such a great resource - I'm not sure even by now I could have transcribed all of Regina's songs by myself. Huge gratitude for sharing your work to everyone who has posted PDFs :)

I thought it would be good to have a thread to share our own covers of Regina's songs? I have quite a few on my soundcloud and I've put my favourites (the ones I think come closer to doing her justice!) here:

0 [regispek] Summer in the City

 

Hey y'all!

The (more accurate) piano accompaniment for Summer in the City is finally up!

Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the long delay in uploading these sheets. I finished the piano accompaniment back in April, however, I was preoccupied with other crap. Secondly, I'd like to apologize the absence of the vocal score. I completed 1/4 of the vocals back in April but I've just been to busy to progress. If you'd like to complete the vocals, please respond and I'll send you the .mus file of it. 

Notes: 

-The time signature for this song is debatable; I have one version in 4/4 and another in 12/8 - the version uploaded is in 4/4

-As an alternative to the vocal line, I've included vocal cues below the treble to aid identification of parts

If you identify any mistakes, please reply immediately.

0 [regispek] Transposed How into key of C major

 

I have never posted in here before, so please forgive me if I don't put this in the right place...

Anyway, I have found that the song How in its original key of E flat is just a tad too high for me to sing comfortably (and well). I ended up transposing the chords into the key of C. I ended up writing out the chords for it and thought that maybe it would help someone else. It's not written in standard notation. There is already a GREAT version of the sheet music in this group. Basically, if you have learned from that sheet music or you have a great ear, you can just plug in these chords. This is a very long winded way of saying that this is basically the Fake Book version.
