0 [primusic] ASL for Primary Songs

I use a lot of signs when I teach songs. It seems to engage the children and it helps them to remember the words. I start with pictures, objects, various activities to teach the song but combine it with signs and use these when I review. I'm always looking up individual signs online. On LDS.org they have videos of a woman signing various primary songs.(not all of them unfortunately!)I went through the list and wrote "ASL" by the titles on the pages in my Children's Songbook so now I can tell at a glance if I can get the signs on LDS.org or have to look them up. Sometimes I have the kids make up a sign for a word that we don't know and they always really remember that sign! To find the songs that are signed, go to LDS.org, menu, study, music, online hymns, other music, learn signs in American Sign Language, Children's Songbook. Click on the icon and you can hear it and see it.
