You can also do a fun thing to make sure they are watching you by holding some notes longer and then do others quickly. It reviews the words but also you see if they are watching. They usually enjoy that as well.

Subject: [primusic] Fun ideas for the CSMP practices
I wondered if anyone has any ideas for keeping children going during those long practices. We practice the 2 weeks before the program and need something different to keep their interest. Anything you've done in the past that has worked? Some one said they have a Saturday practice too, do many of you do that? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE IDEAS!!!
