It is not, however, possible to add the song's melody USING real tracks as
your melody instrument.

Did you go see the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie this weekend?  Wasn't it great.  I liked that mermaid part of the movie and the ships in bottles.  The scores should be in the 4share acct. thing.

Have you selected a style compatible with the song? MIDI isn't intended to
store raw abstract chords as such and BiaB uses styles to translate the
chords into actual notes which can be translated to MIDI.

It's difficult to tell how much explanation you need.

That is very true!, Do not respond, just ignore it, let it go, and for heaven's sake, DO NOT be curious and click.  Also, on Facebook, they have sometime these pictures with a link that go around that people get curious and click.  Usually, after a person gets burned once, usually people learn for the rest of their life, not to click the odd looking link.  Nothing will happen as long as you DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

There are ways to check to see if links are good too.  (but please don't do it to any of these goofy weird links we've been seeing lately for heaven's sake).  Sometimes somebody might send you a link in an email that they want you to check out.  Well, they don't know maybe that they are passing along inadvertently a bad link.  So, what you do for safety is to copy/paste the link into an Internet Explorer browser page and then Internet Explorer's security will usually check it for you by, if it's bad, coming up with a page that tells you that the link was not good.

McAfee has a little program in their software that is on your computers that have it, a program to download that's called McAfee Site Advisor.  It's so easy.  When you google things, all the links that come up, they show the good links in green, and the bad links in red.  There are sometimes yellow or grayed out question marks next to some links too, but I would not touch those with the 10 foot pole either.  So, check out McAfee Site Advisor and see if there's a download.  You'll be glad you did.

So just be smart, don't click the link and learn from others who have had to learn before you please.  It's happened to everybody, so please don't think you're immune because you have a certain kind of computer.  At least keep your automatic update on your Anti-virus software ON  and keep it current.  That is the best.  If something does try to get on your computer, the antivirus will go up like an iron wall and catch it, as long as you have it on automatic updates and in current good standing paid for.  Just remember it does not make your friend (who probably knows nothing about it) or Facebook, it does not make them evill.  We can used tools like these wisely.  Education is the best preventative.

Hope I didn't sound preachy, just wanted to review some things if somebody didn't know some of those things you could do to stay safe.

There is no point whatsoever in replying to spam.  It can even be counter-productive – it tells them they've reached a "live" recipient.

0 [primusic] PPTM chorus

I was out of town this week, so I had a wonderful sister substitute for me.  I just talked to my pianist to see how it went, and this is what she did with the kids.  I loved the ideas!   She worked mainly on the chorus with them.

She talked about the word “Hail”, and its meaning.  So whenever they said the word “Hail” in the chorus, they gave each other high fives!  Of course, it happens only once, but it got the kids to remember when to come in, and how to sing it.  So once they got the chorus to the point she thought that they sang it well, she said “Ok, now we cant give each other high fives in sacrament meeting, so when you sing ‘hail’, I want it to sound as if you were doing it”  She also had a dictionary, and had the one child look up some of the words in the song, while the rest sang the chorus.  They had a race to see who could look up the word before the chorus was done.

With the Jr. Primary, she had them do the high fives, but they also talked about the words traitors and tyrants.  Every time they sang that part of the song, the kids would stamp their feet, and grind them into the ground.  Then said “we cant sing it like this in sacrament meeting, so how can we sing it to sound like we are doing that?”

One of the reasons why I had asked this particular sister to sub for me is that she is the ward music leader.  In sacrament meeting on a regular basis, she has us sing “Tabernacle Choir” style.  And I love it.  I knew that she would know how I wanted this song to sound.  I told her that I thought it shouldn’t sound like a funeral dirge, and she had them sing it with more life!

Anyway, I thought I would share those ideas.

Kel

0 RE: [Piano_Files] sorry guys for the weird emails

I would remind everyone to not be quick to judge that it was the real person that sent the spam because everyone has had this happen to them and they mostly likely don’t even know that someone is using their email.  So, opt for kindness first when letting them know there is an odd email being sent through their address.
