If you have an Audigy or other Creative Labs sound card (e.g. X-FI),
they are supplied with a program - Soundfont Bank Manager. You need to
execute this program in order to load the soundfont into the memory
reserved for it.
Other sound cards that utilize soundfonts will have similar software.
Typically, this software will allocate a section of memory (size) and
then allow you to load the soundfont into the pre-allocated memory.
Some soundcards may not be able to handle the ProVitamin GM set because
of its size (204MB).
Although not a hard and fast rule, the larger the sound samples in a
soundfont, the better the sound reproduction.
As I used BIAB in this recent demo, the 3rd chorus utilized the sfz VST
software plugin in BIAB. The sfz plugin will load any soundfont.

In this example, I used the ProVitamin GM soundfont loaded into the sfz
VST plugin.
Using this software in BIAB, bypasses any other midi synths, such as a
sound card, and routes the output of the plugin directly to the audio
output. So a special soundcard is not needed.
