Thank you, too, for pointing out these other programs. After taking a cursory look at the web pages ... I'm familiar with Palette ... I get the impression that these are 'autocomposing' programs in the fullest meaning of the word. That is, generating through 'guided' randomness, de noveau compositions.

I listened to the MP3s on the Artworks page and the songs all struck me as 'Igor Stravinskyesque.' Nothing wrong with that of course, if that is what you are trying to create.

I also watched the little tutorial on ArtWonks and saw it generate a 'de noveau' melody.

Perhaps after viewing these, I should have more properly referred to RapidComposer as an arranging/ orchestrating program lending itself to more traditional musical form ... whether 'classical,' pop, jazz, rock ... or whatever.

I think the reason you might want to use the 'morph' feature is probably in the same ball park as the reason you grab BIAB to create your ringtones, as opposed to these other programs. RapidComposer can connect your musical ideas using the types of chords/ notes that are rhythmically and harmonically correct. Most simply put, it just 'sounds right.'
