0 Re: [primusic] Nursery Kids in Singing Tim

I agree.  There is plenty of time for them to get used to primary in January when they really should be there.   If you must then I agree with Heather.  Wait till Dec when you are doing something other than review of songs and you can really include them.
But I have never really heard of nursery coming in early.  In the primaries I have been in we do something similar with the Sunbeams not the nursery.  We have always gradually brought the Sunbeams into the regular primary and some don't have them totally in for the whole singing/sharing time until mid year.  Like they start out coming to just  a little of singing time, then if they can handle that they come to all of it then we added sharing time.... then after a few weeks they come for the whole primary.  It depends on the kids too and how they handle it.
But, like I said, I have never heard of bring Nursery in early.  To me it would be easier to help them adjust to a different schedule by the regular way of just having them go to their Sunbeam class where it is easier to do activities etc to keep them occupied and then ease them into regular primary as they are ready.   Just MO

I'd say no.  ;)  Or agree to let them do it beginning in December.

My PP approached me last week and asked what I thought about the oldest nursery kids coming into singing time so that they can start adjusting to a different schedule. I do think that this is a great idea but I am a little worried about how I am going to include them and keep their attention. We are going to be reviewing a lot and working really hard on our program songs and I don't want them to feel left out. Any suggestions?
